This six-unit apartment building replaced a 3-car garage behind an existing duplex. The newly adopted Minneapolis 2040 plan’s reduced parking requirements and modified zoning allowed this project to be possible. The building utilizes electricity for heating, cool and all appliances, eliminating natural gas from the building. The rooftop solar array fulfills most of the building’s power needs through much of the year.
