Minneapolis, Minnesota
The law office, located on the seventh and eighth floors of a sturdy concrete building in Downtown Minneapolis, is a mixture of industrial cool and modern chic. Interestingly, the building once housed a downtown car dealership and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The thick concrete floor slabs and large concrete columns no longer need to support automobiles, but they do lend a sense of permanence and strength to the space. 10K Architecture was able to utilize existing architectural elements in the design while also enhancing the character of the space with new interventions. This approach saved the contractor time in constructing the build-out and kept the budget in check.
